Its November and that means it is the beautiful, kind, and graceful Princess Odette's birthday!
Her birthday is November 18 which makes her birthstone the yellow topaz and her zodiac sign Scorpio.
Scorpio's traditionally are resourceful, brave, and make very good friends. They cling to facts and truth. They strongly dislike superficiality.
Yellow topaz symbolizes love, affection, and joy. It is believed to give anyone who wears it increased intelligence and strength.
That sounds just like Princess Odette to us!
We also think it is a wonderful coincidence that The yellow stone is just like the yellow locket Odette wears in the movie!

Pretty Pink Princess Cake
This perfect pink cake is a beautiful treat for any Princess (or Prince!). Three layers high and covered with strawberry buttercream frosting, it combines one of Princess Odette's favorite fruits with one of her favorite colors!
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (plus more for greasing)
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)
• 2 tsp baking powder
• ¾ cup half-and-half
• ½ tsp table salt
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped.
• ½ tsp red liquid food coloring
For the Frosting:
• 1 ½ cups unsalted butter, softened
• 8 cups (about 2 lb.) powdered sugar
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped.
• 1 tsp fresh lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp table salt
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Beat together the sugar and butter with an electric mixer (medium speed) until the mixture is light and fluffy - this should take a couple of minutes.
3. Next, add the eggs 1 at a time and beat on a low speed. Add each egg after the previous one has just been incorporated.
4. Stir the vanilla into the wet mix.
5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
6. Alternate between the dry mix and half-and-half as you add both to the butter mixture (beginning and ending with the dry mixture), beating on a low speed until just combined after each addition.
7. Carefully fold in the strawberries and red food coloring.
8. Divide the cake batter evenly among 3 greased and floured 8-inch round cake pans.
9. Bake for approximately 20 minutes until a wooden skewer in the center of the cake comes out clean.
10. Remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pans on wire racks until cool enough to handle.
11. Invert the cakes onto wire racks to cool completely.
12. Now you can prepare the buttercream. Firstly, beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth - this should only take a minute or so.
13. Add the powdered sugar to the smooth mixture and beat until fluffy.
14. Add the strawberries, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt then beat until smooth.
15. Now it's time to assemble the cake. Place 1 cake layer on a plate or stand.
16. Spread an even layer of frosting over the first layer then carefully add the second cake.
17. Add some frosting to the top of the second layer and add the final layer.
18. Use the rest of the icing to cover the top and sides of the cake.
19. Decorate the cake however you like, why not add more strawberries to the top of the cake for both taste and decoration!
