On Friday, July 9th, South Jordan City in Utah USA held an outdoor screening of The Swan Princess.
There was a Princess Odette meet-and-greet with backdrops featuring her friends from Swan Lake. Fans and Princess Odette enjoyed taking photographs together and getting to know each other better.
A local company, Scales and Tales, brought real animals from the movie to interact with guests. There was a frog, crocodile, and Shelly the tortoise! She's a good friend of Speed the Turtle.
A free raffle was held with prizes donated by The Swan Princess. Winners loved their fleece blankets, princess makeup kits, Swan Princess storybooks, castle play sets, coloring books, backpacks, and the grand prize: a giant Speed plush!
There were over 500 fans in attendance! We love seeing fans that love the Swan Princess!
Designer Shauna LaFara has created a new design. Her crop tops will be available soon. We have already partnered with her to make Swan Princess Scrunchies and Custom Circle Skirts from our exclusive Swan Princess fabric, and now she's making these adorable tops!

Q: Why is the animation in the ending scene so much different than the rest of the movie?
A: Because the water is CGI! While the rest of the film, and the background, of this scene were all hand drawn, producers decided to use a brand new technology to computer generate the water. It really makes the water sparkle and look so realistic. The few seconds in this scene were $45,000 of the film's budget! Above, you can see the hand drawn background of the scene before the CGI water was added.
Dear Diary,
The fashion show is coming up next month and yet there are still so many things to do! I haven’t had many ideas of what fashion to present, so I have been focusing on the venue itself. Everyone is focused on creating new clothes and designs. I’ve come to learn it’s surprisingly difficult to decide on the props and backdrops for the runway. I can’t just seem to choose. We have so many eyes on us and I want to show everyone what our kingdom can do. I’m the Swan Princess after all, surely I can craft the perfect stage for my story! Hmm… I seem to be missing something, but what?
