National Princess Day

This special day celebrates the Princess (or Prince) in everyone! We are all unique and special in our own way.
No matter your style, hobbies or personality, there is royalty in everyone!

Do you seek out new facts and love to expand your knowledge?

From discovering more about the wonders of the world, reading up about past events and learning more about royalty over the years, many Princesses have an interest in particular subjects/events and love to learn!

Are you a Princess that has an eye for fashion and enjoys designing new outfits?

Maybe you sew your own clothes like the Princess from Colchester!

Some Princesses have a flair for flavor!

Do your friends and family often find you cooking up a storm or baking delicious treats in the kitchen? Do you have a favorite recipe to make? Or do you prefer tasting instead of cooking?

Are you an animal lover?

You might enjoy watching animals and simply spending time in their company or share a special bond with a pet of your own who is also your best friend!
Do you have a favorite animal or pet?

You might enjoy arts and crafts.

Whether it be drawing, painting, modelling or something else entirely, let your creativity soar!
Maybe you are a painter, build models or just like to pick up a pencil or paints from time to time. Arts and crafts are a favorite pastime for many.

Adventure awaits for many royals!

Will your Princess duties have to wait until tomorrow as you brave new shores and seek out quests!

Are you a Princess with a love for music?

Some Princesses simply enjoy listening to music but they might also write music, play an instrument or enjoy singing along to favorite songs - perhaps from the Swan Princess movies!
Music possesses powerful magic that can help us stay calm, express our feelings or simply make someone smile!

Do you enjoy reading like Princess Odette and often get lost in a good book?

Perhaps you travel far and wide in adventure novels? Or expand your knowledge through non-fiction? Or does your heart enjoy a romantic fairy tale?
Remember that it's not the glittering tiara, fancy dresses or castle that makes a Princess, it's what's inside that counts. That doesn't mean there is a certain way that you have to act or think - just be yourself!

3. Cover the corn with a lid and leave on a low heat until all the popping has stopped (remember to shake the pan occasionally).
4. Whilst the corn is popping, melt the sugar, butter and golden syrup in a separate pan until the butter has completely melted.
5. Increase the heat on the butter mix and allow to bubble for 1-2 minutes.
6. Pour the butter mix over the popcorn and stir well to coat.
7. Transfer the popcorn to a baking sheet lined with baking paper and allow to cool for 15 minutes before eating.

2. Lightly grease two 20cm cake tins before lining them with baking parchment.
3. In a large bowl, beat together the sugar and butter butter until the mix becomes pale and fluffy.
4. Take your beaten eggs and gradually add them a little at a time and mix them into the butter and sugar.
Chef Frederick's Tip - If the mixture starts to curdle when adding the eggs, add 1 tsp flour.
5. Add the vanilla extract.
6. Mix in half of the flour until incorporated.
7. Fold in the rest of the flour.

Fantastic Fireworks

"Remember, remember, the fifth of November..."

On the 5th November, the United Kingdom celebrates "Guy Fawkes Day", commonly known as "Bonfire Night". People set off fireworks and watch the colorful displays fill the night sky. It's a night loved by many people!
If you have pets that are nervous about fireworks and loud noises, be sure to look after them and make sure that they keep calm.
King Derek and Queen Odette have organized a large display of fireworks and bonfire night activities for the evening and everyone is invited!
You will need:
Black wax crayons
Wax crayons of your favorite colors
White card
Popsicle stick/Skewer

Instructions:
1. Take the card and color it with all different colors. It doesn't matter where you color or the shapes you make (lines, swirls, completely random - it can be as abstract as you like). Just make sure to cover thr card in color!
2. Then take your black crayon and cover the colored side of the card completely so that you can't see the colors anymore.
3. Use the skewer/popsicle stick (or something similar) to carefully scratch away lines of the black layer. Start from a point and draw a line outwards then repeat the process in a circle (think of a flower having a central point) to make a firework! Keep going until you have a sky full of fireworks!
Why not make other fun patterns using the same technique or create an outline of your favorite character from The Swan Princess.
Its November and that means it is the beautiful, kind, and graceful Princess Odette's birthday!

Her birthday is November 18 which makes her birthstone the yellow topaz and her zodiac sign Scorpio.
Scorpio's traditionally are resourceful, brave, and make very good friends. They cling to facts and truth. They strongly dislike superficiality.
Yellow topaz symbolizes love, affection, and joy. It is believed to give anyone who wears it increased intelligence and strength.
That sounds just like Princess Odette to us!
We also think it is a wonderful coincidence that the yellow stone is just like the yellow locket Odette wears in the movie!
Is your birthday in November or do you just love the color yellow?
