The Story of The Swan Princess
Thirty years ago, a magical fairy tale that enchanted audiences around the world was born.
Filled with heartfelt music, memorable characters and a romantic story, The Swan Princess captivated audiences around the world as we followed Princess Odette and Prince Derek's enchanting tale of everlasting love.
After an incredible response to the first movie, The Swan Princess returned to our screens for not only a second, but also a third magical movie.
Many audiences believed that the story of Princess Odette would end with this SWANtastic trilogy and they wouldn't see what else happened after "happily ever after".
However, 14 years later, fans were delighted with the surprise of another movie, this time bringing festive cheer to our screens as Odette and her friends discover the meaning of Christmas and the season of love. This unexpected release was again thought to be the last movie of the franchise, but this was not the case...
We finally got to see Odette and Derek become parents in "A Royal Family Tale" when young Alise became a part of the family.
From here, we saw this SWANderful family grow with Odette and Derek navigating the paths of running a Kingdom alongside being parents and Alise growing into her own person, particularly when "Princess Tomorrow, Pirate Today' was released a couple of years later. This adventurous installment also introduced us to Lucas, a character who would become very special to Princess Alise.
Odette and her friends encountered many spells and mysteries throughout their adventures, especially in the next couple of movies that followed.
Alise and her friends became spies in "Royally Undercover" before having to solve a mysterious case alongside Odette and the rest of her family in "A Royal MyZtery".
As the love of this franchise grew, so did Alise and Lucas, who discovered their feelings went beyond friendship in "Kingdom of Music". Alongside Odette and Derek, as well as some new friends, we were reminded of the power of love.
Odette and her friends found another unexpected adventure when they traveled to a distant kingdom to celebrate the love of their friends in "A Royal Wedding". Once again, love conquered all.
After ruling as Prince and Princess, the time soon came for Odette and Derek to take their place as King and Queen. As fans watched the beloved couple prepare for this momentous change in "A Fairytale is Born", we were shown that the tale of The Swan Princess began before the eventful summers in the original movie.
The movie looked back many years to when Uberta and her husband, Max, were crowned. It also showed the special friendships that they would form with none other than King William and Queen Aubri - Odette's parents!
Seeing Odette and Derek become King and Queen was a long awaited moment for many, but the adventure wasn't over just yet and the beloved couple graced our screens once more for a final magical adventure in 2023 in the aptly named movie, "Far Longer Than Forever".
Is "Far Longer than Forever" the final movie in this series or are we destined to hear more about what happened after happily ever after? Looks like that is one mystery we don't know the answer to...for now!
One thing is for sure, the beauty of The Swan Princess movies continues to be loved around the world across generations of families! There have been many adventures beyond the movies and there will be many more SWANtastic surprises to come!
The films and their journeys will always remind us of the wonderful magic of love.
The Swan Princess crowning glory may have been the movies, but the crown has many other jewels that have marveled fans over the years!
JeanBob finally got his turn in the spotlight with his very own series on YouTube! The channel also grew with sing along videos, sneak peeks from behind the scenes and editions of the Chamberg Daily!
The Swan Princess is proud to support various charities and show their support for causes around the world by attending charity events, using their platform to raise awareness and much more!
The team at The Swan Princess, including producer Seldon Young, celebrate the movies and spread the word for the many SWANtastic sequels at comic cons in the US and UK, where fans are delighted to hear that the story of their favorite heroine has continued since the first three movies and how much they have to catch up on!
In 2019, The Swan Princess celebrated 25 years since the movie's release with a special event in Hollywood!
This evening turned into a SWANtastic reunion, with both current and original cast members attending, including Steve Vinovich (the original voice of Puffin), who brought smiles and laughter to everyone he spoke to.
There have been many emotional moments throughout The Swan Princess journey and this occasion was a strong reminder of this, particularly with the pink carpet, which was an emotional tribute to the wonderful Michelle Nicastro, the original voice of Princess Odette, who sadly passed away in 2010.
The first Swanscar of the evening was awarded to Michelle, which was received by her husband, Steve Stark.
Filled with fans, cast and crew, the 25th anniversary screening was high with emotion as Liz Callaway, the original singing voice of Princess Odette, and David Burnham took to the stage to perform a special rendition of "Far Longer than Forever".
This unforgettable performance was followed by a remastered showing of The Swan Princess movie.
As well as these incredible events and milestones, fans finally got to see Odette's beautiful dress become a reality when the official costume was released! The dress remains one of the most popular items in our store, with adult, children and doll versions available!
Costumes from the movies have remained popular since the release of the first movie and have inspired many different looks for fans at comic cons, parties and the 25th anniversary event!
Arguably as famous as Odette's dress, if not more so, is the wardrobe of Seldon Young. From shorts and ties to one of the most famous pink suits in the world, the producer's attire is almost as fun as his personality!
